Grant Writer Internship
Up Cancer is committed to educating, engaging, and empowering those affected by young adult cancer. We are looking for grant writing interns to assist Up Cancer become the leading young adult cancer survivor organization in the world.
Position: As a grant writer intern, you will be responsible for finding funding opportunities for Up Cancer. You will be researching different types of funding from government and private grants. Once you have conducted research, you will then be drafting and submitting proposals to help grow Up Cancer.
Grant Writer Intern Responsibilities:
- Research grants from both federal and private funding agencies.
- Studies requirements for applications
- Draft proposals for the grant applications
- Meets proposal deadlines
- Maintain an accurate record of past and present grant opportunities, deadlines, and proposals
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective donors.

Interns do not pay fees, and the internship is a remote position. We have weekly team zoom meetings on Monday nights from 10 pm – 11 pm EST.
If you have some class or other event conflicting with the time. We ask you to apply for next semester. We want you to have an amazing experience, and you will get this by participating in the weekly meetings.
The internship is based on your schedule. Internships are available via semester, academic school year, or during the summer. Our goal is to help you build your resume, and make a difference in the lives of young adults dealing with cancer.
Interns will be supervised by the CEO through email, phone calls, assignment tasks via Trello.com, team communication flock.co and teamwork video conferencing.
