For the 2023-24 school year, Holy Cross Catholic School has an opening for a qualified pre-school teacher with Montessori training. The candidate should also have training and experience teaching the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd program. Our preschool children’s house is in session Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7:50 to 2:50. However, this position could also be made Full-time (M-F) by adding the additional duty of being the Preschool and Pre-K director with regard to DHS licensure and strategic planning/future direction of the early childhood program here at Holy Cross Catholic School.
Candidate should be DHS qualified to teach preschool in Minnesota (or have the potential to be qualified), have experience teaching in a Catholic school setting, and have some knowledge of traditional Pre-K education (in addition to Montessori). Our teachers are expected to 1) demonstrate exceptional collaborative skills so that they can work with the other faculty members in order to ensure that we are all working toward the overall mission of the school; 2) demonstrate excellent knowledge of early childhood education, particularly with phonemic awareness and providing an optimal early literacy foundation.
