Custom Profile is seeking a Tool Cleaner for our Grand Rapids Michigan location.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for issuing, receiving and storing tools and other equipment. Support the company goals of Zero Defects and 100% On-Time Delivery in a cost-efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain inventory of tools and report data to the Tooling Development Manager and Tooling department with any issues or suggestions.
- Inspect tools and equipment for wear or defects according to the worn tooling procedures, this includes mylars, pin gauges, calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Maintain records of tool use
- Clean and inspect tools once returned to storage. Tools includes dies, adapters, gates, shape blocks, tape fixtures, ink jet fixtures, cutter bushings, saw fixtures, etc).
- Work with scheduling on a daily basis to prepare the Set-Up Carts as needed in production.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area; follow daily housekeeping and 5S standards.

Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment with a desire to learn;
- Or a suitable combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- High School diploma required.
Strength in the following areas required:
- Microsoft Office experience (word, outlook, excel)
- Excellent organizational and follow up skills
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- ERP/MRP Experience
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- The noise level in our work environment is moderate.
- Safety glasses, hearing protection and closed-toe shoes must be worn on the production floor.
