The political science department introduces students to fundamental theoretic approaches, methods of study, and content about how people and governments behave in a political context. Aquinas College also has a long and successful history of participating in Model United Nations Conferences which creates opportunities for the highest level of participation in, and analysis of, the United Nations.

Ford Leadership Forum

The Ford Leadership Forum is an initiative of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation that offers service opportunities, mentoring programs, and resources such as essays, articles, seminars and public programs – all inspired by President Ford’s virtue-anchored leadership. It has three programmatic aims: leadership development, civic engagement, and community betterment.

Internship Away: Washington Internship Institute

Open to all majors, Washington Internship Institute offers students a competitive internship placement, rigorous coursework, and the opportunity to work in D.C. At this time, only the summer program is available to Aquinas students for credit. Application fee is waived for Aquinas Students. Fellowships and Scholarships may be available and will be discussed during your meeting with Advantage Center staff.
