Alumni Spotlight – Elizabeth Calcaterra

Meet one of our Aquinas College alumni, Elizabeth Calcaterra!

About the Alum

Elizabeth graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Community Leadership, Spanish Language and Culture, and Developmental Psychology. Elizabeth was a member of the Insignis Honors Program and is enrolled in a Master of Social Work program at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Elizabeth chose Aquinas College because she wanted a small Catholic institution and she appreciated the natural beauty of the campus and the atmosphere of the student body.

Favorite Memory

Elizabeth was able to go to Peru and work with the Dominican Sisters inside a hospital and orphanage. She spent three months living there in a seminary. It was an amazing experience!

Aquinas was very helpful in navigating her study away experience and making sure that she could continue with study away even when it was virtual due to the pandemic.

Did You Know?

Only a few people remained on campus during the Polar Vortex which occurred in the middle of my first year at Aquinas College. The winter storms prevents us from going outside so we played cards, board games, and soccer in the empty residence halls. It was a blast!
